The Aloha Cart provides patients with essential comfort care items directly to the bedside, improving hospital stay experience. The service is intended to relieve some of the stress and discomfort associated with hospitalization by ensuring that patients have easy access to items that can help them feel more at home.
The service is provided at no cost to patients and their visitors. It is funded by the Hilo Benioff Medical Center Foundation, which relies on donations and fundraising efforts to support this and other community healthcare programs.
The Aloha Cart exemplifies a thoughtful and patient-centered approach to healthcare, ensuring that patients have access to essential care items without added stress or cost during their hospital stay.
